Profile: Sam Loveridge

Sam has experience of toxicological risk assessment for a variety of consumer products, including cosmetics, biocides, detergents, toys and inhalation items. He qualified with a Bachelors in Biochemistry and a Masters in Toxicology from the University of Birmingham in 2013, where he then joined Delphic HSE. Sam conducted both toxicological and regulatory activities, including Responsible Person services, client training and risk assessment. In 2016 he was employed by British American Tobacco, working on vapour portfolio acquisitions before managing innovation product stewardship for potentially reduced risk cigarette alternatives, including oral and inhalation items around the world.

Sam is a Chartered Biologist through the Royal Society of Biology, attained in 2019, as well as a European Registered Toxicologist from 2018. He has reviewed risk assessment process for natural botanicals and novel products with allergic potential. Sam re-joined Delphic HSE as a Senior Toxicologist in November 2020.
