Delphic HSE Standards, Innovation & Advocacy (SIA) Team: Active Participation in Key Cosmetic Science Events – May to July 2026

At Delphic HSE, our Standards, Innovation & Advocacy (SIA) team is dedicated to advancing best practices in cosmetic safety assessment, promoting innovation in non-animal methodologies, and engaging with the global regulatory and scientific community. Between May and July 2026, our experts will participate in several prestigious international events. These engagements allow us to share thought leadership, contribute to important discussions on safety science, and connect with clients, regulators, and peers. Below is a summary of our upcoming activities.

Summary of Events

Wednesday 27 May – The Cosmetic & Perfumery Association of Hong Kong: 3rd Seminar on Safety Assessment of Cosmetics and Associated International Practice

Dr James Wakefield – Director, Standards at Delphic HSE, will deliver a presentation on “An Overview of Global Approaches to Fragrance Safety Risk Management”. This seminar provides a valuable platform to explore harmonised international practices in cosmetic safety evaluation, with a specific focus on fragrance ingredients. Dr Wakefield’s talk will highlight current global frameworks and risk assessment strategies that support safe innovation in the cosmetics sector.

Monday 15 June – ICCS Symposium, Brussels: Advancing Animal-free Science through Innovation & Engagement

Ray Boughton, Chief Technical Officer, will attend the ICCS Symposium in Brussels. This event focuses on progressing non-animal methodologies and fostering collaboration across the scientific community. While this is not a speaking engagement, it offers an excellent opportunity for clients and industry partners to meet Ray and discuss how Delphic HSE can support their safety assessment needs with robust, animal-free approaches.

Tuesday 16 & Wednesday 17 June – Cosmetics Europe Annual Conference, Brussels

Sarah Hassan, Toxicologist, and Ray Boughton, Chief Technical Officer, will represent Delphic HSE at the Cosmetics Europe Annual Conference. This key industry gathering addresses current regulatory developments, scientific advancements, and strategic priorities for the European cosmetics sector. Clients are warmly invited to connect with the team during the event to explore collaboration opportunities.

29 June – 2 July – ESTIV 2026 Congress, Maastricht

Dr Fabian Pitter Steinmetz, Senior Toxicologist, will attend ESTIV 2026 and actively participate in the workshop on the ICCS Best Practice Guidance (BPG) for Read-Across. This involvement underscores Delphic HSE’s commitment to developing and promoting high-quality, scientifically sound approaches for data gap filling and chemical safety assessment without animal testing.

2 July – 2nd Symposium on Cosmetic Safety Assessment and Application of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), Shanghai

Dr Lin Yang, Manager and Head of Toxicology, will present at this important symposium in Shanghai. Her talk, titled “Application of Data Integration Strategies Such as Weight of Evidence (WoE) in Botanical Ingredient Safety Assessment”, will showcase practical strategies for integrating multiple lines of evidence to support the safety evaluation of complex botanical ingredients using modern, non-animal methods.
